Shane Clifford Is Pittsburgh’s #1 Ice Hockey Goalie Coach

Founded back in 2001, The Shane Clifford Goalie School is Pittsburgh’s premier goalie school, training goaltenders from youth level to the NHL and offering ice hockey goalie instruction in the form of weekly private lessons, summer day camps, tuneup camps and an elite camp.

Based in Pittsburgh, PA, Shane Clifford utilizes his vast playing and coaching experience to propel young goaltenders to the Junior, Collegiate and Professional ranks.

Currently the goalie coach for the Sioux City Musketeers (USHL); Idaho Falls, Spud Kings (NCDC); and New Jersey Rockets (NCDC), Shane is uniquely positioned to not only to assist up and coming goaltenders with his coaching but he is also uniquely positioned to help them connect to the higher levels of the game through his working knowledge of the junior to collegiate to NHL.

Previously, Shane has been the goalie coach for the Pittsburgh Penquins (NHL); Wilkes Barre / Scranton Penguins (AHL); Johnstown Chiefs (ECHL); Ohio State University (NCAA Big Ten); Evertt Silver Tips (WHL), Erie Otter (OHL) and Les Ducs d’Angers (French Elite League).

Shane also currently assists with USA Hockey’s Warren Strelow National Goalie Development Camp.

He also is the Mid-Am District Goalie Cordinator.

Shane’s goaltending students include goalies from all levels of youth; Tier II; Tier 1 AAA; Junior A; Division I and III NCAA; Major Junior (CHL); Minor league Professional; and the National Hockey League (NHL).

Shane’s summer hockey goalie camps are sold out each summer and packed with the best up and coming goaltenders in hockey.

During the season, Shane’s “The Crease” training program provides the opportunity for weekly private lessons and coaching.
